Ideological Conflict at the Temple School for Young Amphibians

I’m still waist deep in projects this week, but the level of work is slowly dwindling. I have a few things in the pipe for later this week or the next, but until then, here’s a little something I found on my old computer during the Great File Transfer of 2011:

This is also a reminder that The Fane of St. Toad, one of my first contributions to this thing of ours and a tribute to both Dave Arneson and C.A. Smith, remains available as a free download here. If you’ve missed it before, check it out now.

I'm afraid if I sprang that on my players they would rise in open revolt. They just finished a multi-session plot involving the cult of Wastri in the city of Greyhawk...

Thanks for bringing this back up for those of us who missed the original posts. I am always of fond of annotated images.

I like your analogy in the foreword of D&D and The Doors, by the way. I might have picked Robbie Krieger as Dave Arneson instead of Ray Manzarek. When folks think of The Doors, perhaps the organ lead from "Light my Fire" comes to mind more than any Morrison vocal, but it was Krieger that wrote the song, and so many other of their hits. He always seemed to be further in the background to me.

Anyway, until I put out my own adventure I'd say bollocks to my classic rock analyses.

Thanks again!
