Stonehell Dungeon is a classic-style megadungeon, filled with enough monsters, traps, weirdness, and treasure to keep you gaming for a long, long time. Explore over 700 rooms, encounter more than 40 new monsters, and discover 18 mysterious magical items – and that’s just in the dungeon’s upper half!
Stonehell Dungeon: Down Night-Haunted Halls details the first six levels of a megadungeon intended for use with the Labyrinth Lord™ role-playing game, but is easily adaptable to most early versions of the original fantasy role-playing game and its retro-clones. Featuring the art of J.A. D’Andrea, Lee Barber, Marcelo Paschoalin, and Ralph Pasucci, Stonehell Dungeon gives the game master all the necessary information to run his players through the dungeon, while offering enormous opportunities to customize and expand on the site.
The monsters of Stonehell Dungeon are waiting to meet you. Won’t you come in?

*fanboi SQUEEEE!!!*
On it like an Otyugh on offal! :)
Your patronage is appreciated.
The mental image of an otyugh sliming my hard work--not as much... ;-)
The supplements are a nice idea too.
Thanks. I wanted a way to be able to add fun bells and whistles to the dungeon when the mood struck me, and not have to write a huge splatbook to do so. I won't be filling in all the gaps in Stonehell (or even most of them), but the occasional bit of fluff or crunch will undoubtably make its way in from time to time. I think my second planned supplement will be useful to anyone running a dungeon crawl, even if it's not in Stonehell
Just got it in PDF format... I have no words :)
I just posted a review of it over at Grognardia. It's a very fine piece of work. You should be very proud.

As long as that's not because you can't find words worse than "I wanted to gouge my own eyes out," thanks!

Thanks again for your time and the review, James. And yes, I am very proud of the book.
I'm reading it now and loving it. It's like being transported back to the feeling of reading Tegel Manor (but more coherent) or The Caverns of Thracia - that all-too-rare tingling of genuinely wondrous discovery.
And what a palimpsest! I love the layers upon layers of backstory implied so very concisely, the setting rich with atmosphere and possibilities. Stonehell's signal-to-noise ratio is a thing of old-school beauty.
Using - of all things - the seemingly constrained one-page dungeon format to create your megadungeon is like writing an epic composed of haiku.
With Stonehell's authorial terseness, conceptual variety, impressive scope, and unique structure, you've created what will almost certainly remain a point of reference for dungeon design for a decade or more to come.
From one dungeon master to another, I salute you, Amityville Mike.
Why thank you, Rick.
I just tried to make a good old dungeon that was evocative of the Saturday Night Dungeon Crawls of Eld. My primary hope was to write something that you could easily image your buddy putting together for an marathon 48-hour stretch of gaming fueled by too much soda, pizza, and chips.
If I was successful in that, I'm pleased. If I managed to convey and even greater depth to the work, I'm thrice pleased.
As long as that's not because you can't find words worse than "I wanted to gouge my own eyes out," thanks!
Nonono... I can find some words: "chock-full of AWESOME". Let that be my reward.
And let me add: we want more. Of everything.
Erm... by "reward" I meant "review", doh!
Just ordered my copy!
Word verification: imperst - I expect to be very imperst with the book when I get it!
A magnus opus! I am a fan now!
Just got my print copy today! It looks gorgeous, and the shipping time was very reasonable. This is my first experience using Lulu for a print product, and I must say it was excellent. No problems at all. And of course the product itself was well worth the way.
Pardon me—time to read!
