I generally just use a straight edge and an old-fashion wood pencil (I've got a taboo about using mechanical pencils for maps). Sometimes, like for this one, I'll go over the pencil lines in black fine-tipped pen and erase the extraneous pencil marks to get a crisper image. But most of the time, I'll just leave the pencil and place the maps in sheet protectors to prevent smearing them.

As for the random wheel and Rocky's sayings, I have a love for introducing random elements into my dungeons, simply because I like to be surprised by "what happens next" as much as I can be, and random elements are the easiest way to do so.Michael Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13217338828086458862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727301007280965202.post-59940956238961143732009-01-03T12:17:00.000-05:002009-01-03T12:17:00.000-05:00I don't see any cheat with going to two pages--aft...I don't see any cheat with going to two pages--after all, if you print it out front and back, it still fits on one sheet of paper!

Tru, but I plant to print them out on seperate sheet and slip them into sheet protectors. That way I can have both pages of notes open in front of me at the same time. On the opposite side of the sheet protectors I'll have the next section, so turning the page will open up the next part of the dungeon to lay flat before me. Need to switch something? Print it and replace it in the sheet protector. I think this will work well.Michael Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13217338828086458862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727301007280965202.post-69715321212259458102009-01-03T12:14:00.000-05:002009-01-03T12:14:00.000-05:00Good stuff! You'll notice that I shamelessly stole your restock table, which I found elegantly simple and looks to be a very quick and easy method to top off the dungeon after its been looted the first time around. Thanks for that.Michael Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13217338828086458862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727301007280965202.post-15107881560949168262009-01-02T23:38:00.000-05:002009-01-02T23:38:00.000-05:00This is neato. None of it would have been possible without Chgowiz as I am all thumbs around computers.

ALSO - Damn nice first go of it with your shared file. Awesome.

I'll put my PDFs on Orbitfiles.com after I redo the images to my liking.

Good stuff! I wanted to email you an advance look at what I did with the template, but by the time I had everything in place for today's post, I was wonky with the need to sleep.

I'm glad I could contribute in my own little way. I like a little more room to stretch out with my notes and two pages was enough for my usual sub-tables without turning Sham's one page idea into a farse.Michael Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13217338828086458862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727301007280965202.post-32731633458323877132009-01-02T09:36:00.000-05:002009-01-02T09:36:00.000-05:00*drool* That's great! Thank you for sharing your level.

See, now my secret plan is almost complete! I'll soon have hundreds of keyed dungeon levels to choose from to entertain my players... (I'm now in the throes of OMGIHAVETODM panic - it's been a long time since I've lead a group, and I'm very rusty on 1E rules...)Michael S/Chgowizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052820400496340137noreply@blogger.com
